Description

The Agni Veiga Series Intelligent Addressable BACnet / Modbus Card is a dedicated communication interface that enables reliable data exchange between Agni fire alarm control panels and external building automation systems. 
This card translates the fire alarm panel’s proprietary signals into standard Modbus protocol (RTU over RS-485 or TCP/IP), allowing real-time monitoring of critical system conditions such as Alarm, Fire, Fault, Normal, Disable, Test Mode, Evacuation, and other operational states. 

Designed for professional fire and safety installations, the card connects directly to the Fire Alarm Control Panel (FACP) through twisted-pair RS-485 or Ethernet. It continuously extracts data from connected devices including detectors, modules, zones, and outputs, converting them into readable Modbus registers for external systems. 
With low power consumption, robust industrial design, and an operating temperature range suitable for demanding environments, this communication card ensures dependable system integration for centralized monitoring diagnostics, and automation.

How does the BACnet / Modbus Communication Card Work?

1. Install inside the Fire Alarm Panel

The BACnet / Modbus Communication Card is mounted inside the Agni Veiga fire alarm control panel and powered directly through the panel’s motherboard.

2. Connect to the Communication Network

The Card is connected to external systems using: RS-485 twisted-pair cable for Modbus RTU, or Ethernet for Modbus TCP/IP communication.

3. Read Live Fire Alarm Data

The card continuously reads operational data from the fire alarm panel, including device status, zone conditions, and panel events.

4. Convert Panel Data into Modbus Registers

Fire alarm events such as Alarm, Fault, Disable, Test Mode, and Evacuation are translated into standardized Modbus register values and status bits.

5. Transmit Data to BMS / SCADA / PLC

The converted Modbus data is transmitted in real time to connected Building Management Systems, SCADA platforms, or PLCs for display and automation.

6. Display & Monitor in Real Time

External systems show alarms, faults, and zone-level information instantly, enabling fast response and centralized supervision.
