Agni Veiga Series Intelligent Addressable Monitor Module
The Agni Veiga Intelligent Monitor Module is an addressable input module designed to monitor dry contact devices and integrate conventional fire safety equipment into intelligent fire alarm systems with precise location identification and reliable performance.
Description
The Agni Veiga Intelligent Monitor Module is a fully addressable monitoring solution developed to meet the control and supervision required of fire detection and alarm systems. It enables seamless integration of conventional, non-intelligent devices into an intelligent addressable loop, providing accurate device identification and real-time status reporting.Â
Powered directly through the fire alarm control panel loop, the module operates without any external power source and consumes extremely low current during standby conditions. Each module is assigned a unique address, allowing the control panel to continuously poll and monitor the connected circuit for normal, alarm, or fault conditions such as open or short circuits.Â
The module supports dry contact inputs and is ideal for monitoring devices such as sprinkler flow switches, fire pumps, gas detection systems, kitchen hood suppression systems, and manual call points. It features volt-free changeover relay contacts, offering reliable input supervision and signal transmission.Â
Designed for the easily programmable flexible connection and durability, the IND-VMI100 includes integrated short-circuit isolation, red colour LED indicators for local status indication, and fast plug-in terminals for easy installation. The compact enclosure fits into a standard external single-gang back box and is suitable for both surface and flush mounting applications. With compliance to EN 54-2 & 54-4, this module ensures dependable operation across a wide range of commercial and industrial environments.Â
Job to be Done
Primary Job
When I need to connect conventional analog signal dry-contact fire safety devices to an intelligent addressable fire alarm system, I want a reliable monitor module that accurately reports alarms and faults.
Safety Job
Give occupants confidence that help has been alerted Reduce panic and confusion during emergencies Assure facility managers that the system is reliable and compliant
Functional Jobs
Convert conventional signals into intelligent addressable inputs. Detect alarm, open circuit, and short circuit conditions. Report exact device location to the fire alarm control panel
How it Works
How does the Agni Veiga Intelligent Monitor Module Work?
The Agni Veiga Intelligent Monitor Module acts as a smart bridge between conventional or Intelligent dry-contact devices and an intelligent addressable fire alarm system. It continuously supervises the connected circuit and communicates its real-time status to the fire alarm control panel using a unique digital address.Â
How does the Agni Veiga Intelligent Monitor Module Works?Â
1. Loop-Powered Operation
The module receives power directly from the addressable fire alarm loop (15-40 V DC). No external power supply or battery is required.
2. Connection to Dry-Contact Devices
Conventional & analog signals for the related devices such as flow switches or pump status contacts are connected to the module’s dry-contact input terminals. These devices only open or close a circuit and do not supply voltage.
3. Continuous Circuit Supervision
The fire alarm control panel continuously polls the module via its unique address. The module monitors the input circuit for: Normal Condition, Alarm Condition (Contact change), Fault Condition (Open or short circuit).
4. Intelligent Status Reporting
When a change occurs, the module instantly reports the exact device address and condition to the control panel, allowing precise identification of the event location.
5. Local Visual Indication
Bi-colour LEDs provide local status indication: Flashing during normal communication, Steady ON during alarm or fault condition.
6. Short-Circuit Isolation
If a wiring short occurs, the integrated short-circuit isolator activates automatically, protecting the rest of the loop and maintaining system operation.
Product in One LineÂ
When integrating conventional & analog signals for the related devices into an intelligent addressable fire alarm system, I need a loop-powered monitor module that instantly reports accurate alarm and fault status with precise location identification.
