Agni Veiga Series Intelligent Addressable Optical Photoelectric Smoke Detector

The Agni IND-OP is an intelligent addressable optical smoke detector designed for early fire detection. Using photoelectric light-scattering technology, it reliably detects slow-smouldering fires while offering high immunity to dust and false alarms.

Description

The Agni Veiga Series IND-OP Optical / Photoelectric Smoke Detector is a high-performance point smoke detection device engineered for intelligent addressable fire alarm systems. It continuously monitors air conditions within the protected area and provides an early warning of fire by detecting smoke particles using advanced optical sensing technology.
The detector operates with an infrared LED and photodiode housed inside a specially designed optical chamber. When smoke enters the chamber, light is scattered onto the sensor, triggering an alarm signal. The advanced smoke inlet and optical chamber design offer strong resistance to dust ingress, significantly reducing false alarms while maintaining high detection accuracy.

Equipped with Dust Restrict Chamber (DRC) technology, the detector provides enhanced immunity against airborne contaminants, making it suitable for offices, commercial buildings, and large installations. The low-profile, aesthetically pleasing design blends seamlessly into modern interiors.
The IND-OP detector supports intelligent digital communication, auto-addressing on compatible fire control panels, and programmable alarm thresholds. It is fully compatible with AGNI’s digital communication protocol and fire alarm control e quipment, ensuring reliable system integration and performance.

Job to be Done

Primary Job

When designing or upgrading a fire alarm system, I need a detector that can identify real fire conditions early, so occupants can evacuate safely and emergency response can begin without delay.

Safety Job

it performs the critical safety job of detecting smoke at an early stage and alerting the fire alarm system to protect life and property from fire hazards.

Functional Jobs

Feel confident that the building is protected at all times, Trust the system to activate only during genuine fire events, Reduce stress related to unnecessary evacuations or system faults.

How it Works

How does the Agni Veiga Optical Photoelectric Smoke Detector Work?

The Agni Veiga Optical / Photoelectric Smoke Detector works by using an infrared light source and sensor inside an optical chamber. When smoke enters the chamber, it scatters the light onto the sensor, triggering an alarm signal that is digitally sent to the fire alarm control panel, ensuring fast and accurate fire detection while minimizing false alarms through its dust-resistant chamber design .

How does the Agni Veiga Photoelectric Smoke Detector Works ?

1. Air Sampling

The detector continuously allows surrounding air to enter its optical chamber for constant monitoring.

2. Infrared Light Emission

An internal infrared LED emits light inside the chamber under normal, smoke-free conditions.

3. Smoke Entry

When a fire begins, smoke particles enter the chamber through specially designed smoke inlets.

4. Light Scattering Detection

Smoke particles scatter the infrared light onto the photodiode sensor, creating a detection signal.

5. Alarm Decision & Communication

The intelligent circuitry confirms the alarm condition and digitally sends the signal to the fire alarm control panel with the detector’s address.

6. System Alert & Response

The control panel activates visual and audible alerts, enabling quick evacuation and fire response actions.
