The IND-SV2MB or IND-S2MBÂ Sounder Strobe Base is an aesthetically pleasing, compact audio-visual base sounder engineered for intelligent fire detection systems. Agni Veiga Series intelligent detectors base, it combines a powerful audible alarm with a white visual flash in a single ceiling-mounted unit.Â
This sounder strobe base offers surface mount slim profile acoustic output and EN54-23 compliant visual performance, while maintaining extremely low current consumption. When connected with an associated intelligent detector, the unit can be fully controlled through cause and effect programming from a compatible control panel using the Agni Digital protocol.Â
Integrated DIP switches allow independent adjustment of both sounder volume and tone settings, providing flexibility for different site requirements. The unit can function as a detector base or operate independently with a cover plate, ensuring adaptability across various installations.

How does the Agni Veiga Sounder Strobe Base Operate?
1. Standby Mode
The Sounder Strobe standby while continuously communicating with the addressable fire alarm control panel through the Agni digital protocol. Power is supplied directly from the fire alarm loop.
2. Fire Event Detection
An associated intelligent detector (smoke or heat) senses a fire condition and sends a signal to the control panel.
3. Control Panel Processing
The fire alarm control panel verify the alarm condition and applies cause-and-effect programming to determine which sounder strobe cards must activate.
4. Activation Command Sent
The control panel sends an activation command to the Sounder Strobe Card via the addressable loop.
5. Audible Alarm Activation
The Sounder Strobe Card activates the sounder, producing an alarm within the 440-2900 Hz frequency range, with sound output up to 92.6 dBA (tones 32).
6. Visual Indicator Activation
Simultaneously, the integrated visual indicator turns ON, providing a clear visual warning for occupants, especially in low-visibility or noisy environments.
