X Hybrid 2 to 8 Zone Conventional Fire Alarm Control Panel

The AGNI-1100 is a microprocessor-based conventional fire alarm panel from Agni Instruments Engineers India Private Limited, designed for small and medium-sized buildings that need reliable, zone-level fire detection. It is part of the X Hybrid series and comes as a 2 zone, 4 zone, 6 zone or 8 zone fire alarm control panel (AGNI-1102, 1104, 1106 and 1108). Detectors, manual call points and supervisory devices wired in each zone report together, so staff can see at once which part of the building is in alarm.

The panel runs on a high-performance microprocessor with an onboard 16 × 2 LCD that shows live system status and diagnostics. Every zone also has its own LED, giving operators an at-a-glance view of whether a zone is healthy, in fire, faulted or isolated. The panel continuously supervises all field wiring for open and short circuit conditions, along with zone health, battery condition, the mains and battery supply, and the communication link. Faults are therefore caught and reported early, before they can compromise protection during a real emergency.

When a detector or manual call point signals a fire, the AGNI-1100 acts immediately. It drives the common sounder output so that every connected notification appliance sounds, and it enables the zone-wise notification outputs for zone-level sound annunciation. At the same time it switches the fire relay and shows visual and audible alarms on the front panel. Three potential-free relays, for fire, open circuit and short circuit, let the panel interface with building management systems, auto-dialers, hooters, suppression systems and public address equipment. This makes it easy to include in a wider building safety setup, and the RS-485 interface allows repeater panels to be added for remote annunciation of fire and fault conditions.

The Fire alarm panel smart power management algorithm manages charging, backup performance and load distribution on both mains and battery, while deep discharge protection stops the standby batteries from being drained too far during long power failures, so they recharge properly when supply returns. Battery polarity protection also guards against a common installation mistake by preventing damage if the terminals are connected the wrong way round.

The panel sits in a heavy-duty 1.8 mm sheet metal enclosure with a polycarbonate front door secured by lock and key, so the display stays visible while the controls are protected from tampering.
